This series is a celebration of The Wild Apes of Africa.
I can vividly recall the moment my partner shared with me that he was sending me to the Bwindi National Park in Uganda to trek with the mountain Gorillas. No words could possibly express the emotions that came over me. Being on my bucket list, I never thought I would have the privilege of having such a remarkable life experience as this at such a young age.

Crouched silently in the bushes, mouth gaping in awe, I watch the silverback. His demeanour is protective, as with any father, yet so incredibly gentle.
The Mother gorilla, who so gingerly has such care, her maternal mannerisms so human-like, shows us her golden grace.
As I watch, the young little bundles of thick fur somersault through the undergrowth as they playfully wrestle each other. While others pull each other down from branches, reminding me of our children’s cheeky play.
With the soft palettes of the African landscape & intimate minimalism, I want to share the captivating beauty of Africa's extraordinary creatures.
